Our Greatest Pain...
Pain is not something to be judged. Having said this, we can't imagine anything more painful than losing a child. On June 8, 2022, we lost our son, Colin James Hiriak to cholangiocarcinoma - a rare but deadly cancer, at the age of 26. Colin fought fiercely against the disease for over 16 months before succumbing to its effects.

Our Efforts
Devastating illness brings complexity to families. Our programs bring both communication and financial resources directly to families. In addition, we bring real-world experiences, recommendations and financial support to health-care systems, public health institutions and research facilities. Our goal is to maximize outcomes against these terrible illnesses.

We greatly underestimated the positive impact that Colin had on others and the understanding people have for the needs of families with devastating illnesses. In less than two months, we have achieved over 64% of our multi-year goal in donations and commitments.
